Notification of Trials will be posted to this website, the Ladybirds Netball Club Facebook page and emailed to each current member for each Winter and Summer season.

Full details of the trial registration process will be detailed in that notification including the period of time that the registration period is open, how to register and other pertinent details.

Listed below are some of the Frequently Asked Questions which related to trials and our Club Policies around trialing.

 

How Do I Pay?

Full payment of fees is required at the time of registration for trials

Make payment online using a credit card / debit card.

Please contact the Treasurer, Paula Ruxton, treasurer@ladybirdsnetball.com if you wish to discuss a payment plan.

To receive Sports Voucher discount download and complete the ‘2019 Sports Voucher $100’ from our website. Form can be emailed to Paula Ruxton, Treasurer, by email to treasurer@ladybirdsnetball.com or see her in the shed on Thursday training nights. Once SV is approved and funds received, your $100 will be electronically refunded via MyNetball into the account you paid season fees with.

If you register after the due date, the player may not be allocated equal ‘time on court’ during the trial process, (I.e. they may only trial 1 or 2 times).

 

How do I apply for the Senior, Inters or 13&U Development Squad?

Selections for the Development Program – 13&U’s, Intermediates & Seniors – will be held during the upcoming trials. Players and Parents, please take time to carefully read the attached Program Outline and decide together if you would like to be considered.
Applications for the program are due in writing to the Netball Director one week prior to the first trial. Applications can be handed in at training or emailed to acey_gaerth@icloud.com.

 

What happens if decide not to trial after registering?

If you register with the club for trials and decide to withdraw from the trials, please contact the Secretary (Mobile 0421 690 992) by Thursday 31st  January in order to allow Selectors enough time to re-configure trial games.

If you withdraw before the registration due date, a full refund will be provided.

If you withdraw after the due date, your registration fee minus the $100 trial fee will be refunded.

 

What happens if I decide not to accept my position at Ladybirds?

If you do not accept your position at Ladybirds Netball club, firstly respond to the Team Placement notification via email, including your name and Team placement. Your Registration fee will be refunded to you minus a $100 trial fee within 2 weeks.

 

What do I do if I want to play up an Age Group before I am old enough to?

Players wishing to play up one age group must apply in writing to the club, stating their reasons why. Letters should be addressed to the Secretary, secretary@ladybirdsnetball.com.

This does not apply if you are already playing in a higher Age Group this season at this Club.

 

What happens if I cannot attend one or more of the trials?

We strongly encourage all players to attend all trials to ensure your placement in an appropriate team. If you are unable to attend trials, please notify the Secretary as soon as possible, giving reason. Any injuries are also to be reported to the club.

 

What happens on the day?

On the day of trials, all players will attend a briefing at the start time, and then break into their respective age groups. Warm up drills will commence immediately.

 

Players are NOT to wear Ladybirds attire for the trials, as it is confusing for Selectors. Players are to wear the same clothing at all 3 trials as it assists Selectors.

 

Players and Parents are NOT to approach the Selectors or sit in the covered shelters during trials. This is with the exception of notifying the Selectors that a player has arrived (if late), has become injured or needs to leave early.
